Remembering Aziz Abou Ouf: Milestones in the Life of a Cinema Icon.

Egyptian artist Ezzat Abu Auf (1948-2019) had a successful career in medicine as a specialized doctor in obstetrics and gynecology for 15 years before turning to the arts and establishing himself as a successful actor, singer, and music composer. He also discovered and mentored several successful singers, including Tamer Hosny and Mohammad Fouad. Abu Auf was one of the founders of the Four M band with his sisters Manal, Mervat, Maha, and Mona. He graduated from the conservatory in 1959 and went on to star in several Egyptian movies and TV series. He also hosted TV programs and was the head of the Cairo International Film Festival since 2008. He was married to Fatima for 37 years until she passed away in 2015, which affected his mental and physical health. Abu Auf passed away on July 1, 2019, at the age of 71, after suffering from several health issues. Abu Auf is remembered for his contributions to Egyptian art and culture, and his legacy lives on.
