Kate Middleton has been discharged from hospital after undergoing a successful operation on her stomach. Issuing a statement from Kensington Palace, her residence, the palace thanked “the whole team at the hospital for the care and treatment the Duchess has received”. The 42 year old Duchess of Cambridge will recuperate at her home in Windsor. Her future official duties will not be impacted by the operation and Prince William will reportedly continue with his duties whilst she recovers. The Spanish newspaper Concha Calleja had claimed that the Duchess had suffered from medical complications during her operation, though no further details have been disclosed. At the same time Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Charles will be undergoing a medical procedure next week for an enlarged prostate. Though benign, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the 65 year old king-to-be was suffering from a common condition which affects thousands of men annually.
