Hollywood studios and the actors' union SAG-AFTRA have failed to reach a new agreement amid disputes over key issues that include streaming residuals, vaccination protocols and "nudity rider" provisions. The union is seeking better standard pay for its members of $1,000 a day on low-budget films, increased residuals for streaming content and better payment for ads used on social media. It also wants an end to clauses that allow for students and other non-professionals to work on projects, while the studios have called for a more lenient and affordable health care system and a shorter window for advertising residuals.
