Mohamed Fathy Ghanem, better known as Fathy Ghanem, was an Egyptian journalist and novelist. He was born in Cairo in 1924, and graduated from the faculty of law in the University...Read more of Cairo in 1944. Following his graduation, he worked as a journalist in several publications, becoming editor-in-chief in some of them, including Al Gomhuria and Rose al Yusuf. Many of Ghanem's novels were adapted into films, including The Mountain, and Those Days. He died in 1999.

Ahmed Sameh is a singer known for his many relationships with women, but his neighbor Amal loves him, and he does not know how she feels about him, until he meets her by chance and has an illegal relationship with her. She becomes pregnant from him and does not tell him, but he forgets her after that. Amal raises her son with the help of her aunt and Professor Saeed because he loves her. The latter advises her to forget this distracted singer because he does not deserve her, but she does not forget his love, so she decides to send him a letter with the biggest secret in his life.
