He studied film directing at the International Film College in Paris in 1933 and began his career as a...Read more director of documentary films. Then, he became an editor for a number of films, including: Something Out of Nothing (1938),and Life of Darkness (1940). After which he turned to writing and directing feature films, including Charming Flowers (1952),and Aisha (1953). He died in 1982, at age 72.

Madbouli forces his daughter to sell lottery cards in the cafes, while her brothers work in pickpocketing. The rich Yehia meets with Aisha and he sympathizes with her because she looks like his lost daughter. He negotiates with Madbouly to take care of Aisha and raise her at his home.
