Egyptian actor and director born in 1939. He started his career in the 1960s and directed around 50 stage productions including works of great writers such as Tawfik El Hakim,...Read more Youssef Idris, and Saad El Din Wahba. He taught acting and directing in the High Institute of Performing arts and managed many theater sects in Egypt over the years. He also founded the children's theater, the youth theater, and the travelling theater. Zaki was also skilled in writing theatrical scripts, including "Aladdin and the Lamp", and "Cinderella". In addition, he did several theatrical studies. He has received several accolades for his contribution to Egyptian theater over the years. His works include The Echo of Silence, Waves and Rocks, and A Single Man and Three Maidens. He died on 20 November 2013.
