The film follows the story of a mayor named Abdel Razek Al-Sharshabi (Omar Sharif) when his youngest son, Tawfiq (Khaled Al-Nabawi),is asked to enlist. His wife (Safia Al-Omari) refuses to let her son go, so someone suggests that he send someone to impersonate his son to enlist in his place.
