The Saudi Film Festival announces the date of the eleventh session of the festival, which is organized by the Cinema Society in partnership with the King Abdulaziz World Cultural Center “Ithra” and with the support of the Film Authority of the Ministry of Culture, from April 17 to 24, 2025 AD, at the “Ithra” Center in the city of Dhahran. .
Registration is open to participate in the competitions of its eleventh session starting today, which are the feature films competition, short films, documentary films, the unexecuted scenario competition, and the production market competition.
The registration period for the film competition ends until the end of January 5, 2025 AD. As for the unexecuted screenplay competition, registration ends on December 19, 2024 AD, as well as for the Production Market competition, for which January 12, 2025 AD will be the last day for registration in the competitions.
This session of the Saudi Film Festival includes developing the structure of its competitions and awards, as it focuses on supporting and directing its cash prizes to the Production Market Competition by supporting 11 projects in the development, production and post-production stages and allocating grants to support first films in order to achieve the festival’s objectives, which focus on supporting filmmakers with first-time experiences. Projects participating in the Production Market Competition compete for the following grants: a development grant for a feature film, a production support grant for a feature film, a post-production support grant for a feature film, a development grant for a short film, a production support grant for a short film, a production support grant for a short film, and two production support grants. For my first short film, I was given post-production support for a short film.
