Egyptian actor Amir Karara has decided to skip the Ramadan drama season in 2025 due to his busy schedule with several upcoming projects. Karara is set to star in the film "El Shatir," a social and comedic film, and will also lead the drama series "Ara'ad Insheb." The 10-episode series is written by Islam Hafez and directed by Mohamed Salama. Karara rose to fame with his successful Ramadan series "Bayt Al-Rifa'i," which aired last year and featured him in the lead role of a doctor named Yasin who becomes embroiled in various crises and accused of murdering his father. The show also touched on the dangers of the antiquities trade and family conflicts. Karara's latest film, "El Baabaa," was released during the 2023 Eid al-Adha season and earned nearly EGP 45 million. It was later a success on Netflix, ranking as one of the most viewed movies in Egypt on the platform.
