Media attacks Ilham Shahin over remarks on director stopping filming for prayer

Egyptian TV presenter Amira Badr has criticised actress Ilham Shaheen for comments she made on social media about a director who halted a scene to pray. During her TV programme, Badr asked if being religious had become strange and whether following God’s injunctions had become religious. Badr's comments come after it emerged that Shaheen had criticised filmmaker after he stopped filming for a prayer session. Shaheen spoke about her experience in a video which surfaced on social media. While Badr said it is okay for everyone to practice their religious rituals, they should not interfere with work schedules. Shaheen's latest work was on the TV drama “Alfrido” based on the book “55 Problems of Love”, written by Dr Mustafa Mahmoud. The series was written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin and directed by Essam Nasser.
