Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the best scorer in the history of the Champions League by UEFA, having scored 140 goals in 183 games. Ronaldo, who has won five Champions League titles in his career, received the award during the draw for the group stages of this year's tournament. The Portuguese forward said he was “extremely happy” to receive the award and that the Champions League was “the highest peak in football”.
