The chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA),Turki Al-Sheikh, revealed details of the "2024 Riyadh Season", which will begin on October 12. The season will feature 14 entertainment areas spanning over 7.2 million square meters, with 4,200 contracts signed with 2,100 companies, 95% of which are local. The season will also host 11 world championships, ten exhibitions, and various festivals. Majority of the events will take place in the 19 areas of Boulevard World, where an additional five new areas from different countries around the world will be added. The "Saudi Arena" area will witness a 40% expansion hosting more than 27,000 spectators. There will also be a series of tournaments such as the world boxing championship, "IV Crown Showdown," and the African Super Cup 2024. The venue will also showcase the "Effie Awards", which honours the most impactful marketing companies in the Middle East and North Africa. Boulevard City, the most popular area among the Riyadh Season audience, boasted an increase of 70% in experiences and activities, featuring more than 40 new experiences and activities, 25 restaurants and cafes, and 12 concerts. The comedy show will feature Martin Lawrence, while "Detective Conan" and "Bluey" cartoons will entice anime fans. The audience will also be able to enjoy music by the German genius Hans Zimmer and a giant dinosaur exhibit named "Ouloulou".
