Beyoncé has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Donald Trump's campaign over the unauthorised use of her song "Freedom" in an advertisement. Beyoncé is a vocal supporter of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris' campaign, which likely adds heightened anger over Trump's unauthorised use of the song. This is not the first time that Trump's campaign has faced backlash from artists for unauthorised use of their songs. Isaac Hayes’ estate recently filed a lawsuit against Trump, and both Woodkid and Celine Dion have criticised him for using their music at rallies. The use of Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" at a rally in Montana prompted her team to write on social media: "Really, that song?".
