Katy Perry's latest music video, Lifetimes, is under investigation for allegedly being filmed in a protected area in Spain without permission. The regional government in the Balearic Islands are conducting an investigation with the production company involved about the video which featured Perry singing and dancing on protected sand dunes. This is not the first controversial incident to involve Perry as last month she received criticism for announcing that her new single, Woman's World, was produced by Dr. Luke, who has been accused of rape by fellow singer, Kesha. In 2023, Kesha and Dr. Luke settled their long-standing legal dispute after Kesha accused him of drugging and assaulting her and inflicting emotional abuse on her. Dr. Luke denied the allegations and counter-sued Kesha for defamation and breach of contract. Despite previous successful collaborations between Perry and Dr. Luke, including I Kissed A Girl and California Gurls, their recent collaboration with Woman's World failed to secure significant success, debuting at number 63 in America in its first week and leaving the charts altogether in the following week.
