The city of Abha, Saudi Arabia recently hosted a concert by renowned Saudi Arabian singer Abdul Majeed Abdullah after a 25-year absence from performing in the region. The concert, sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority, was part of the Kingdom's initiative "The Saudi Tour". It was organised by Rotana Music Group in cooperation with the Quality of Life program and broadcasted live on several TV and radio channels. The event was a huge success, with all tickets sold out, and the audience singing along to over 20 of Abdul Majeed's greatest hits. In a recent interview, Abdul Majeed Abdullah announced that he has reached an agreement with Rotana to release a new album soon, featuring six songs filled with Saudi Arabian rhythms and musical colours.
