According to the New York Post, Affleck was in high spirits as he headed to his office in Los Angeles, two days after spending five hours with his wife at their rented home. Lopez had been seen earlier in the day at the home of Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner, where the two share custody of their children. Affleck and Lopez had not been seen together since June, and rumors of their separation had been swirling for some time. Despite this, they had recently put their $60 million Beverly Hills home up for sale, while Affleck had bought his own $20.5 million home in Los Angeles. The couple had spent the summer apart, with Lopez vacationing in Europe and Affleck working in Los Angeles. It remains unclear whether they will reunite to celebrate their second wedding anniversary on August 20. TMZ reported that the pair were using their business managers to negotiate their finances in preparation for a possible divorce, rather than hiring lawyers. Lopez and Affleck were together from 2002 to 2004 but broke off their engagement in January 2004, before rekindling their relationship in 2021 and eventually getting married in July 2022.
