Egyptian artist Haifa Wehbe commented on the crisis that led to the suspension of her work permits in Egypt. This was due to her violation of the terms of her employment contracts with the Actors and Musicians Syndicate. Wehbe shared a verse from the Quran on her Instagram account, which translated to: "And the evil plot does not encompass except its own people." The Actors and Musicians Syndicate issued a joint statement urging the heads of the two syndicates, Ashraf Zaki and Mustafa Kamel, to cooperate in resolving the dispute. Wehbe had violated her artistic contract with a production company, despite receiving a down payment, and did not comply with the decisions of the investigation committee of the Actors Syndicate. Following an official complaint, the musicians' syndicate also found Wehbe guilty of violating an agreement to perform at a concert in the North Coast, which caused significant financial damage to the organizer. As a result, the Actors and Musicians Syndicates decided not to grant any work permits to Wehbe until the disputes were resolved.
