Miley Cyrus has become the youngest star to be awarded the Disney Legend title. Cyrus rose to fame playing the lead role in Disney Channel's Hannah Montana series when she was just 13 years old. During an emotional speech at the D23 fan conference, Cyrus said she remained "proud to be Hannah Montana". The 31-year-old won her first Grammy earlier this year for the song "Flowers," which spent 10 weeks at the top of the UK chart. Cyrus received a standing ovation from the 12,000-strong audience in Anaheim, California, home of Disneyland, where she accepted her award. The ceremony saw Cyrus perform one of Hannah Montana's biggest hits, "The Best of Both Worlds". She closed her acceptance speech by saying, "This award is for Hannah Montana and the amazing fans who made her and this music real... Now, let's freak out."
