Former Al-Ahly footballer Salah Hosni has died, with his funeral attended by a large number of stars from the worlds of sport and entertainment. Among those paying their respects at the Police Mosque in Fifth Settlement on Sunday evening were Yasser Jalal, Mohamed Zidan, Ikrami, Tarek Abu Zaid, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Haitham Shaker, Shikabala, Hisham Magdi, Diab and Ashraf Zaki, as well as singer Mohamed Hamaki, Eman El-Assi, and Hanadi Mehanna. Salah Hosni, who was the director of the football team at Al-Ahly, director at the Egyptian Football Federation and father of actor Ahmed Salah Hosni, passed away last week. His son’s father-in-law, actor Amir Karara, was also in attendance. Ahmed Salah Hosni is currently starring in the thriller drama "Rahil", broadcast by ON TV at 7.30 pm every night from Sunday to Thursday. It tells the story of the life of "Rahil", whose life was turned upside down when she came out of prison convicted of murder. She finds herself facing the anger of the victim's family and the spectre of death, before deciding whether to face the challenges or leave, and what price to pay for the choices made.
