Actor Youssef El Sherif attended the opening night of the play "Sinbad," which stars himself and is currently being held at the "You" theater as part of the New Alamein Festival. Many audience members also attended the first showing of the play, which is a fantasy tale about Omar Abu Al-Houl (played by Karim Abdulaziz) who finds a magical necklace in an ancient tomb and decides to impersonate Sinbad to experience a life of adventure and heroism. The play is part of a collaboration between the Riyadh Season and the Saudi Entertainment Authority, as well as the United Media Services Company.
