Ahmed Helmy, an Egyptian comedian and actor, announced his plans to produce a TV drama for the first time. He is currently searching for a good dramatic screenplay for the series, which does not necessarily have to be shown during Ramadan. Helmy also expressed his support for Palestine during the Rotterdam Film Festival, stating that he wishes to make a production about Gaza that will bring its reality to the attention of the world and expose the occupation. Helmy sees how Israel is aware of the power of art to convey real messages and seeks to give a false message in works of art and cinema, fattened with honey. He also stated that the whole world is beginning to comprehend the entire truth behind the issue and that it is essential to present works exposing the occupation's wrongs and addressing the world. Previously Helmy showed his support for Palestine during his theatre production "Tiat", which was part of the Riyadh season, and also sang a song about Palestinian heritage.
