Egyptian actress Mai Ezz El Din performed the pilgrimage of Umrah in memory of the deceased producer Hossam Shawky who, along with his friends and fellow producers, Fathy Ismail, Mahmoud Kamal, and Tamer Fathy, died in a car accident on the road to Dabaa. El Din posted a video of her pilgrimage on her official Instagram account, saying, "Labbaik (Here I am, O God) in Umrah for Hossam Shawky, may God have mercy on him and his friends...pray for their backs and support." The funeral prayers for the deceased producers will take place at the police mosque in Sheikh Zayed on August 4th, after the Maghrib prayer. The funeral procession took place on August 1st, with many celebrities, such as actors Ahmed El Sakka, Ahmed El Awadi, Ahmed Eid, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Ahmed Salah Hosni, and actress Yasmine Abdel Aziz in attendance.
