The Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival has announced that it will honor Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby at the opening ceremony of its 40th edition to be held from October 1-5 in 2024. Shalaby began her acting career in 2001 and rose to fame for her outstanding performances in a variety of films and TV shows. She has won numerous awards from renowned film festivals and uses her fame to support important social causes such as women’s rights and youth empowerment. The Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival is held annually in Alexandria under the sponsorship of Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hegazy and Governor Ahmed Khaled Hassan Said.
