Rotana Music, the largest record label in the Middle East, has released the music video for Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoghbi’s latest single Yel3an Albaad on YouTube and all digital platforms. The song has already received over 2 million views on the Rotana Music channel on YouTube. Yel3an Albaad was written and composed by Ivan Nasrallah, with musical arrangement by Hadi Sharara and mixing and mastering by Eli Barbur. The music video was directed by Nicola Karam. Nawal Al Zoghbi, who was born in Lebanon in 1966, began her career in the 1980s. Her second album, 1992’s Shams El-Ghinnieh, was a massive success and cemented her status as one of the most popular singers in Arab countries. She has released several albums since then, with one album released per year on average. Al Zoghbi has been compared to big-name singers like Nancy Ajram and Haifa Wehbe and has been dubbed the “Sun of Lebanese Song”. She has also appeared on television; in 2011, she served as a judge on the Arab version of the television show Got Talent. In 2017, she was ranked fifth on Forbes Arabia’s list of the 100 most powerful Arab women, with more than 26 million social media followers. In 2018, she was named one of the 15 most inspiring women in the Middle East by Cosmopolitan magazine.
