The Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority has announced the names of the honorees that will be recognized at the Joy Awards ceremony in 2025 in Riyadh. The honorees are artists who have contributed to the Saudi and Gulf artistic library through their cinematic, dramatic, and theatrical works. Among the honorees are Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Saad Khodor, Ali Ibrahim, Abdulrahman Al-Khateeb, Mariam Al-Saleh, Ibrahim Al-Salal, Abdulrahman Al-Aql, and Qatar's Ghanem Al-Sulaiti. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, a Saudi artist born in 1945 in Buraidah, began his artistic career in the 1960s and is considered one of the most important figures in the development of Saudi drama. He was previously honored at the opening of the Gulf Film Festival in its fourth edition in 2024, where he received an award for his outstanding works and contributions to the arts. Al-Tuwaijri entered the world of art through presenting a number of programs, including "Al Saado Waad," in which he played the role of "Hazzaaz," and worked on the drama "Return of Aasweed," written and directed by Adnan Ibrahim. Among his most prominent works are the series "Furj Allah and Time," "Happy Dreams," "Asayil," "Adult's Play," "Stay With Me," "Abu Rash Rash," and "Selfie." "Marzouqa" series directed by Omar Aldeni, and written by Alaa Hamza, as well as "Al Asef" series directed by Al-Muthanna Sobh, and "Tash el Oudah" series directed by Mohammad Al-Qaffas, are the last three artistic works presented by the late artist.
