Several Egyptian celebrities have sent messages of love and support to the actress Kenda Alloush, after she revealed that she is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Alloush announced her diagnosis during a podcast she recorded with TV presenter Mona Al-Shazly on YouTube. Many of her colleagues, including Hend Sabry, Mona Zaki, Sabaa Mubarak and Dora, sent Good wishes and prayers, and stressed the importance of early detection and regular check-ups. Alloush said that her husband, Amr Youssef, was initially extremely worried. She said that she went to see a doctor who had previously treated her father-in-law, who was an oncologist, and that after experiencing pain during breastfeeding her infant son, Karim, she underwent tests and discovered she had multiple tumours in her breast. She added that her children are too young to comprehend the seriousness of her illness, so she decided to separate treatment from their daily lives and enjoy outings with them in the countryside after her chemotherapy sessions.
