Actor Karim Abdel Aziz has confirmed he will begin preparations for the third instalment of the blockbuster film "Blue Elephant" after Eid al-Adha. The film series is based on the novel of the same name by Ahmed Mourad, and follows the life of a psychiatrist named Yehia Rashdan, who confronts multiple personal and professional issues. Additionally, Blue Elephant 3 will see a shift in the plot as Rashdan’s character morphs into a "ghost". The second film in the franchise achieved significant success, achieving EGP104m ($6.6m) in box-office revenue since it premiered in Egypt and various Arab-speaking countries. The third film is expected to start shooting in August, following the completion of negotiations with the cast.
