Amr Diab's lawyer has filed a complaint with the police over an incident where the singer allegedly slapped a fan trying to take a selfie at a wedding. Diab's lawyer said the singer had been harmed after the man tried more than once to capture an image with him. The man was not family of the bride or groom, according to the complaint. Diab's lawyer added that the singer welcomed fans who wanted to take selfies with him, describing the man's behaviour as extreme intrusion and calling for rules for approaching artists for selfies. Video footage of the incident spread widely online, with fans criticising Diab's reaction.
