The action film "El Sorab" has topped the box office in Egypt over the weekend with an income of EGP 1.19m ($76,000),bringing its total revenues to EGP 41.2m. Directed by Ahmad Nader Galal and starring Ahmad Al-Sakka, the patriotic movie revolves around the heroic story of a group of Egyptian air force officers who embark on a perilous mission to destroy a terrorist hideout in the Libyan desert after the Libyan civil war and the downing of the Russian Metrojet airliner over Sinai. The film also features a group of Arab actors, including Sherif Mounir, Nelly Karim and Mohamed Mamdouh. Produced by Rotana Studios and Synergy, "El Sorab" is expected to continue to lure audiences and compete during the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
