Khaled Youssef, an Egyptian director, expressed his happiness in directing the movie "El-Iskandarani" based on the book of the great writer Osama Anwar Okasha. During an interview, Youssef explained that the reason that pushed him to not hesitate in accepting the experience of directing this film is that the book is written by Osama Anwar Okasha and that the story is related to the city of Alexandria, a city that has a special place in his heart. Youssef believes that the total of Egypt's soft power that has come out of Alexandria is equivalent to half of Egypt's soft power over the course of 100 years and the number of songs written for Alexandria over 100 years is greater than the number of songs written for Egypt.
