Cillian Murphy, famous for his role as Tommy Shelby in the TV series Peaky Blinders, will star in a new movie based on the show. The official Peaky Blinders account posted a screenshot of the film's script, which will be aired on Netflix. Murphy stated he was pleased to work again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the cinematic version of Peaky Blinders. He also revealed that the script is expected to be completed soon, and the film will pick up where the show's sixth season ended. Murphy confirmed the movie's release is set for 2024. Writer Steven Knight also confirmed that he is almost finished writing a new movie inspired by Peaky Blinders, and production will start as soon as the initial preparations are completed. The filming will take place at the studios in Digbeth, Birmingham, which is where the original TV series was shot.
