Egyptian actress and singer, Amy Samir Ghanem, commemorated the third anniversary of the death of her father, actor Samir Ghanem, who passed away in 2021 due to COVID-19. She posted a photo of her father on her Instagram story and wrote a tribute to him. Samir Ghanem graduated from the Alexandria University's Faculty of Agriculture, and formed a comedy trio with George Sidhom and El Deif Ahmed. The group had many successful comedic works, including "The Angels' Cooking", "Romeo and Juliet". After the death of El Deif Ahmed in 1970, Samir Ghanem and George Sidhom continued to act together in several plays, the most famous of which was "The Married." Their last theatrical work together was "Welcome, Doctor."
