Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby has recently signed on to star in the film Kundalini, based on the novel by Mirna el-Helbawi and directed by Mohamed Salama. The film has been in development for a long time and is expected to begin filming soon in both Egypt and India. Earlier, el-Helbawi shared a video of herself with Salama in preparation for the film on her Instagram account. The film is an adaptation of the novel and features Shalaby in a lead role. Salama recently directed the Ramadan series, Embrattorit Meem, which had a star-studded cast. Kundalini is Shalaby's first film since the 2023 series, Tagheer Jo, which also featured Iyad Nassar, Sherine, Murfat Amin, Ayda El-Kashf, and others, and was directed by Mariam Abu Ouf.
