Bahraini short film "A Day" by director Ahmed Alkhannak was recently showcased at the tenth edition of the Saudi Film Festival from May 2-9. The film tells the story of a seventy-year-old man who feels loneliness and despair surrounding him as he remembers his past while the world keeps changing. "A Day" is based on a story by writer Amin Saleh. The film is produced by Mohamed Farid (Blu Steel Films) and stars Yahya Abdul Rasoul, Mohammed Al-Saeed, Moussa Jaffar, Ali Al-Ghais, and Shouq Maroof. The film's cinematography was handled by Jaffar Al-Hilawi and MAD Solutions is responsible for worldwide sales and distribution. Director Ahmed Alkhannak has won numerous awards for his films, and his style has been influenced by renowned directors such as Wim Wenders, Abbas Kiarostami, Christian Kechlofsky, and Michael Haneke.
