Saudi Arabian film "Shabab Al-Bomb" has become the biggest opening weekend for any Saudi movie, raking in Dh7 million ($1.86m) over the three-day Eid Al-Fitr holidays. The film, whose title translates as "Bomb's Youth," was released on June 16 in the kingdom in tandem with its premiere in neighbouring Jordan. It was implemented with a lot of Hollywood help, with an American director and cinematographer, and has American-style snappy jokes with characters that have a fast-paced energy in telling their stories. It is produced by production company Ibtkar Creative Works, with distribution by Rotana Group. The film is scheduled to be screened in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt and Iraq on 25 April.
