Egyptian composer and singer Walid Saad has made a strong comeback to the music scene with his new song “Elly Farag Farag”, which entered the trending charts on the first day of Eid. The song, with lyrics by Amir Chico, music by Ahmed Nasri, and distributed by Mohieb Salit, is of a dramatic nature. Saad had been absent from the music industry for more than 17 years since his famous song “Kol Dhanby” was released, which was a pivotal moment in his career. Saad is also preparing to release an album through an upcoming collaboration with Rotana, featuring many famous poets, composers and distributors. Throughout his career, Saad has collaborated with several well-known Arab stars, including Warda, Amr Diab, Tamer Hosny, Hamaki, Al-Jassmi, Assala, Ragheb Alama, Fadl Shaker, Amal Maher, Latifa, Saber El Robaey, Hakim, Hisham Abbas, Hamada Helal, Ehab Tawfiq, Nawal Al Zoghbi, and Samira Said. Saad’s last song was a duet with singer Jannat for the TV series “Bakhit Wa Adila”, starring the actors Ahmed Rizk and Amir Karara. Saad’s collaboration with Jannat was called “Bent Bataltek Hadoo” (The heroine of your story),and the song expressed feelings of hurt and disappointment. Saad stated that the team had made great efforts on the music and expressed a desire that the effort would be crowned with success and good luck.
