Khaled Diab denies plagiarism of "Ashgal Shaka" from "Good Morning My Dear Wife": I watched the film when I was young.

Khaled Diab, author and director of the Egyptian Ramadan series "Ashgaal Shakka" (Apartment Building),responded to comparisons between his series and the Egyptian film "Sabah al-Kheir ya Zawjati al-Aziza" (Good Morning, My Dear Wife). Diab explained that he had watched the film as a small child, and the main idea of the film is different from the series "Apartment Building." He said the film's problem was not about household assistance, which is the theme of his series, which was done in a completely different way. Diab emphasized that he did not borrow the series' concept from the film, explaining that borrowing would require a full adoption of the idea rather than merely taking a common theme. The series stars Hesham Maged, Asmaa Galal, Sherine, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Mustafa Gharib, and a number of guest stars, including Intisar, Iman Al-Sayed, Noha Abdeen, and Enaam Salousa. It is written by Khaled and Sherine Diab and directed by Khaled Diab. The series was shown in the first half of the Ramadan 2024 season. "Sabah al-Kheir ya Zawjati al-Aziza" was released in 1969 and starred Salah Zulfikar, Nelly, Tahia Karawya, and Khayriya Ahmed. It was written by Sami Amin and directed by Abdul Moneim Shokry.
