The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has announced a 50% reduction in the fines imposed on those who have accumulated traffic violations before October 9, 2023. The reduction is part of a government initiative aimed at reducing the financial burden on citizens and residents in the country. The initiative is being implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SADAIYAH). According to the Ministry of Interior, for motorists to benefit from the reduction, they need to settle all their fines over a six-month period from the date the initiative comes into effect. The Ministry of Interior has urged all road users to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure road safety and avoid incurring violations.
