Fourth Gulf Film Festival hosted by Riyadh under film regulatory organization.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, has announced that the fourth Gulf Film Festival will take place in Riyadh from 14-18 April 2024. Organised by the Saudi Arabian Film Authority, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the five-day festival aims to strengthen cultural and technical ties between member states. It will feature several workshops and seminars to educate film-makers and support the development of Gulf cinema. A total of 29 films from Gulf Cooperation Council states will compete for awards in various categories, including Best Short Film, Best Feature Film, Best Screenplay, Best Music and Best Actor. The event was initiated as part of the Gulf Cooperation Council's 2020-2030 cultural strategy, designed to highlight the importance of cinema and honour cinema talent within the region.
