The Kuwaiti TV series "Qalam Rassas" ("Pencil") has made it on Google's list of most-searched topics, due to its bold portrayal of marital problems. The show stars Mila Al-Zahrani and Abdullah Al-Turkmani as a couple facing various crises, and is based on a true event from Kuwait in 1990, when a family migrated to Saudi Arabia during the invasion and the father later discovered he had forgotten his daughter at the border. In the show's 16th episode, the two families meet each other to face their past and both blame themselves, with the real mother denying she was harsh because she suffered in silence and the caretaker recalling how she found the child and brought her up in her own home. In its struggling social drama concept, "Qalam Rassas 2024" is about a family in Kuwait who lose their daughter while escaping the Iraqi invasion of 1990; an unfortunate event that leads them on a path to search for her. Years later, they meet their daughter by coincidence and try to reconnect with her. Ibrahim Al Harbi, Sana Bakr Younis, Abeer Ahmed, and Shaila Sabt are some of the leading stars of the show.
