10th Saudi Film Festival honors artist Abdulmohsen Al-Nimer.

The Saudi Film Festival has announced that Saudi artist Abdulmohsen Alnimer will be the honouree at its 10th edition in May 2024. This announcement is a celebration of his four-decade-long career in theatre, TV and film. Alnimer's first appearance was in the TV series "Alshater Hassan" in 1981, and he went on to perform in many acclaimed artistic works, both locally and regionally. His film career began in the early 1990s with the movie "Alshams", followed by several other movies, including "Silent Shadows", "Wedding Dress" and "Long Railway". His most recent film, "Hijjan", about the relationship between Saudis and camels, was released this year and has been widely praised by critics and audiences. The Saudi Film Festival is an annual cultural event that takes place in Dhahran, in partnership with the Cinema Association, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and the Film Commission, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture.
