Egyptian actress Yusra to be honored at Beirut International Women's Film Festival in April.

The Beirut International Women's Film Festival will commence on April 14th, organized by the Beirut Cinema Society at its seventh session, under the theme "Women for Leadership." The festival will continue until April 19th, featuring more than 73 films, including short and long, fictional and documentary, animated, experimental, and dance films from 35 different countries. The festival aims to celebrate creativity and excellence of women in the film industry, promoting women's leadership roles in society. The event brings together prominent figures from the cinema and art communities to honor women's contributions to the film industry. Additionally, it will feature discussions, panels, and award ceremonies. The awards will be selected by the jury members who will be spread across each category of the films being showcased. The Beirut Cinema Society is an association active in promoting Lebanese culture and disseminating it through film and art on a national and local level. Its activities involve organizing festivals in several countries including Canada, Latin America, and the Arab world, and partnering with the Ministry of Tourism in launching Lebanon Cinema City, a project initiated by the Minister of Tourism, which will attract local and international productions. The partnership is a part of the Beirut Cinema Society's vision of making Lebanon a film-friendly country, contributing to the economy built on the cultural and film tourism industry.
