"Muhammad Abdu tells a strange story about his father and reminisces his first love."

Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu shared personal stories from his life, including the strange story about his late father, during an interview on the podcast “Big Time”, hosted by Amr Adib and Syrian singer Assala Nasri. Abdu revealed that he did not see a photo of his father until 70 years after his death, as he had left home when Abdu was very young and never returned. His family learned of his father’s death eight months later and believed that his photo had been burned, due to the belief at the time that it was forbidden to keep pictures of the deceased. However, Abdu’s wish to see his father was eventually fulfilled when a man from Yemen brought him a photo of his father, which had been stored in a safe place and was in good condition. Abdu also talked about his first love, a girl from an aristocratic background, and how he continued to write songs for her even after her death. He recalled that his mother advised him to enter the world of business and investment, which he did, resulting in a current net worth of 11 billion Saudi riyals. Abdu’s first salary was 130 Saudi riyals, earned when he was working in radio, and he credits that period as shaping his personality and helping him achieve his current success in the music industry.
