Egyptian actress Somya El-Khashab has returned to the small screen with her leading role in the new TV show "100 Ragel" (100 Men),which began airing on Rotana Drama last week. The show, written by Mahmoud Hamdan and directed by Ibrahim Nashat, is set in a popular social context in Egypt. El-Khashab stars alongside a number of well-known actors, including Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni, Hala Fakher, Sama Ibrahim, Mohamed Radwan, Nancy Salah, and Ahmed Azmy. The first episode sees El-Khashab's character, Galia, go to the salon with Adel, played by Ahmed Azmy, where they are preparing to celebrate their wedding that evening. However, he leaves abruptly to visit his father, where he gets involved in a dispute with Abbas, played by Mohamed Abdel-Azim, who almost kills Galia's father to emerge victorious. The events lead to violence between the two parties and end in the death of the father at the wedding. "100 Ragel" has been highly anticipated among viewers in Egypt, as it marks El-Khashab's long-awaited return to TV following a hiatus of several years.
