The Oscars ceremony was held this morning with a large number of Hollywood stars in attendance. The ceremony was presented by Jimmy Kimmel, who made fun of the length of this year's nominated films and many of the artistic events during the past period. The film Oppenheimer won Best Picture, receiving 7 awards out of 13 nominations. Other winners included Kilian Murphy for Best Actor in Oppenheimer, Emma Stone for Best Actress in Poor Things, Robert Downey Jr. for Best Supporting Actor in Oppenheimer, and Davine Ruffin Randolph for Best Supporting Actress in The Holdovers. Christopher Nolan won Best Director for Oppenheimer, and The Boy and the Heron won Best Animated Feature. Poor Things won Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Production Design. The music award went to Oppenheimer, while the Original Song award went to "What Was I Made For?" from Barbie. Anatomy of a Fall won Best Original Screenplay, while American Fiction won Best Adapted Screenplay. Oppenheimer also won Best Cinematography and Best Editing. In the documentary category, 20 Days in Mariupol won Best Documentary Feature, and The Last Repair Shop won Best Documentary Short. The Zone of Interest from the United Kingdom won Best Foreign Language Film.
