Rotana and Anghami renew partnership to strengthen global music content.

Music and entertainment giant Rotana and leading music and entertainment streaming platform Anghami have renewed their strategic partnership, allowing Anghami to continue showcasing audiovisual content produced by Rotana to its users. The renewed agreement will expand the range of music that will be covered and will highlight the growing cooperation between the two companies. The deal builds on an earlier partnership first signed in 2012. The three-year agreement will be marked by diverse collaborations across various types of music content, a joint statement said. Rotana is also looking to expand its reach worldwide by offering its music catalogue to Anghami’s users. With a workforce of Arab music experts and a diverse range of tools for producing and sharing music content in the Middle East and North Africa, Rotana has been serving and entertaining audiences across the world through its satellite TV and radio, digital platforms, concerts, talent management and YouTube channel. Anghami was the first platform to offer music streaming in the Middle East and North Africa in 2012 and currently provides over 100m songs and licensed content from independent distributors and major record labels including Universal, Sony, Warner and Merlin to its 120m registered users globally. The company has also partnered with over 40 telecommunications companies throughout the region as part of its marketing strategy.
