In honor of International Women’s Day, Arab singer Assala shared an inspirational message with her female followers on Instagram. She urged women to be strong and never let their hearts break, instead repairing them with their emotional strength and compassion. She encouraged women to embrace their tears as evidence of their resilience. Assala finished by calling every woman the “light, joy, beauty, faithful companion, key to life, and salvation.” Assala also mourned the loss of Egyptian music composer Hani Bakr, sharing a photo of the two on her Instagram page and stating she hoped that his memory would live on through his wonderful works. Additionally, she released the second part of her new album titled “Lahtaght Nafsi,” featuring songs such as “Ara’adh Algha’eb” and “Hadeeqat Telj." Earlier this year, Assala released a video clip for her song “Sandooq El-Dhokraat,” which featured real-life childhood memories of the singer, celebrating the importance of memories of loved ones. Lastly, in December 2020, Rotana released Assala’s new song titled “Jannat Al-Hob” on YouTube, with lyrics by Dr. Ziyab bin Ganem Al-Muzroui and music by Fayez Al-Saeed.
