Egyptian singer Mai Farouk has responded to criticism over her appearance at a concert in Saudi Arabia. Taking to Instagram, the star acknowledged the opinions of both positive and negative commentary and thanked fans for their input. The event was staged as "Mai Farouk & DJs", with Hani Farhat conducting the orchestra and performing songs made famous by legendary Arabic musicians including Abdel Halim Hafez and Warda. Farouk collaborated with stylist Ehab Adly for her appearance on stage, which differed from her usual look. The concert was organised by Turki al-Sheikh and aims to offer a mix of traditional and modern music with new arrangements of classic songs; Farouk delivered a number of songs as Cat Woman, according to some media reports.
