Saudi singer Abdulmajeed Abdullah has publicly spoken about his fellow musician, Rashed Al Majed, who has been absent from the music scene for months due to health concerns. Abdullah expressed his hope for Al Majed's safe and speedy return to the music industry. He also acknowledged the competition between Al Majed and Rabeh Saqer, but with respect, as they were part of the same generation and helped enrich the Gulf's music scene. Al Majed is one of the most popular singers in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world but has had to cancel performances due to throat inflammation. Abdullah held a successful concert on March 1st in Mohammad Abdu Arena, where he performed his hit songs. The event was a part of the Riyadh Season Festival. The singer says he has 5 new songs ready to be released, with lyrics by Turki Al Sheikh and melodies by Tareq Mohammed. Abdullah also revealed that his son will study medicine instead of pursuing a career in music.
