Renowned actress Leila Elwy has began filming her new movie "El Mostaheira" alongside stars such as Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Reda and Abd El-Rahman Hassan. The film is directed by Amr Salah and is set to be released during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday. This marks the first collaboration between Elwy and Salah, who has directed several successful films and TV series such as "Alf Hamdallah Ala Elsalamah" and "Nessi Eltani" on the streaming platform Shahid. "El Mostaheira" is written by Ahmed Anwar, Mohamed Abdel-Quwi, Osama Hassam El-Din, Ahmed Saad and Elwi, and produced by a yet-to-be-named production company. Salah recently held sessions with the film's writers to finalize the script and conducted table-readings with the cast. Further cast and crew details have yet to be announced. Elwy was last seen in the Ramadan 2020 TV series "El Ekhteyar", which focused on the lives of Egyptian soldiers in Sinai.
